„Youngsters have the opportunity to discover the music of Haydn with these easy arrangements. The music comes from a variety of sources such as arias, symphony themes and instrumental pieces. Snippets of information accompany each piece in both German and English. Suitable from grade one and upwards, students can learn or reinforce techniques such as slurs, staccato, dotted rhythms, martelé and ornaments. All the music can be played in first position. Arranger Erhart-Schwertmann does justice to the intentions of the composer, notating in a way Haydn would agree with.
